چکیده
یکی از راههای مواجه با مشکلات شهری استفاده از فضاهای زیر سطحی است. فضاهای زیر سطحی به دلیل حفاظت در مقابل شرایط نامناسب، حفاظت از محیط زیست، افزایش بهره وری سیستم حمل و نقل و بهره وری اقتصادی در سالهای اخیر بیشتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته اند. فضاهای زیر زمینی می تواند ابزار موثری در جهت رسیدن به پایداری باشد بر خلاف تصور رایج کنونی فضاهای زیرزمینی می تواند در کاربری هایی چون تفریحی ( اماکن ورزشی، پارک ها و...)، تجاری و اداری(بازارچه ها،کتابخانه هاو...)، فرهنگی (موزه،فرهنگسرا،سینما) وخدماتی (پارکینگها) بکار رود.به عبارتی فضاهای زیرسطحی می توانند. توسعه سطوح زیرزمینی، پتانسیل بالقوه ای است که در صورت مدیریت صحیح و می تواند همزمان با برطرف کردن نیازهای جدید و کمک به مدیریت شهری به توسعه پایدار نیز کمک کند. هدف این مقاله توجه به فضای زیرسطحی به عنوان حلقه گمشده مدیریت شهری در رسیدن به توسعه پایدار شهری است. روش تحقیق مقاله «توصیفی- تحلیلی» می باشد و همچنین ادبیات تحقیق از منابع اسنادی- کتابخانه ای و منابع داخلی و خارجی استفاده شده است. نتایج حاصل از تحقیق نشان می دهدکه فضاهای زیر سطحی می تواند به حل بسیاری از مسائل شهری کمک کرده و موجب پایداری شهری و توسعه پایدار به عنوان هدف بلند مدت شهرها شود. توسعه پایدار شهری با رویکرد استفاده از فضاهای زیرسطحی یکی از رهیافت های نوین درزمینه شهرسازی است. این رویکرد ضمن استفاده از قابلیت های مثبت فضاهای زیرسطحی تلاش می کند تا مسائل ومشکلات شهرها ازقبیل کمبود فضا مسائل حمل ونقل وزیست محیطی را حل نمایند.Underground spaces of cities have a hidden capacity for sustainable urban development

The results show that subsurface spaces can help solve many urban problems and lead to urban sustainability and sustainable development as a long-term goal of cities. Sustainable urban development with the approach of using underground spaces is one of the new approaches in urban planning.
